  1. There is no convention in these drawings and that’s what makes them so interesting. They are unique and highly expressive. I like the way this guy is looking straight at me, commanding attention.

    Thanks for your thoughtful comments. You know, eyes are always an important part of my drawings. I begin with the nose, and then I go immediately to the lips and eyes, all before the chin, and other features begin to determine the shape of the face. In someways, it’s the eyes nose and mother that determine what the other features are going to look like.
