Ahh, spring, when a not-so-young professor’s heart calls her back to the graduate library at the University of California, Berkeley. This is the student who was sitting across from me in the microfilm room. I don’t know exactly what was on the reels he was reviewing, but I know it very old  and I know it was in French.
